Here We Are with Shane Mauss: A VIP Party & Live Podcast Recording

June 22 // Lost Mirror

Each week on the Here We Are Podcast, stand-up comedian Shane Mauss travels the country interviewing scientists about their work and the meanings of life. Shane uses his non-academic “every-man” approach to learn about some of the most important research and ideas about life which are discussed in a highly accessible, funny, and interesting way. Listeners get to eavesdrop on Shane’s journey to figure out why we are here, why we behave the way we do, and what to do about it. The aim is to look at life in many different ways as possible to better understand ourselves and have some laughs along the way.

Here We Are has a 5 star rating on iTunes and you can read listeners’ reviews to see what people are saying about it. With over 100 episodes, the podcast currently gets 50,000 downloads per episode and is on track to double that in 2017.

The live episodes create a different kind of night out and have the opportunity to ask scientists questions of their own. People of all ages and backgrounds are invited to have some drinks, learn, laugh, and meet other intellectually curious people in the area.
